Sometimes you just gotta drop what you are doing and get after it!  Mother nature has been splendidly kind to us this season, but that is no reason to take these conditions for granted.  Winter only lasts a short time - the rest is spent pining for pow days like these..untouched powder waiting for you to leap in.
The rest can wait......

I love POW!!! do you?

Come get and get it!  The conditions are heavenly here in the backcountry at Crystal Mountain.  Try out using the Alpine Inn as your base hut for your backcountry skiing.   You can ski back down for hot meals each day and skin out the door in the morning to a new location each day for a full on day of ski touring!  Mountain guides are available at Crystal through IMG.  With a 2 hour drive from Seattle, killer deals on lodging and super yummy homemade food at the Alpine Inn and Snorting Elk deli - it's like a great ski hut trip made easy and inexpensive.
Think about it- you can tour Morse Creek, Lakes basin, Crystal Lakes, Mt. Rainier National Park- that should keep you busy and spend less of your vacation driving somewhere...
Terrific conditions on Queens run today.

Really great conditions on the hill, cold, squeaky, fast snow.  Low lift lines, lots of vertical!
Fast!!!
